Analyzing Louisiana’s Adjusted Redistricting Data

For their adjustment, Louisiana only modified VTD geographies performing 4 VTD mergers, 3 VTD splits, and 4 VTD boundary modifications in the following Parishes: Avoyelles, Caddo, Plaquemines, West Baton Rouge and Vermilion.

We visually confirmed that the new VTDs do not split census blocks. As such, no data in any of the census blocks is modified, beyond the VTD assignment for the handful of blocks involved in the splits or mergers.
