Precinct-Level Data Sources

Looking for precinct-level data that is not available on our site?

We compiled a list of quick links to access statewide precinct-level general election results and precinct boundaries (maps) for all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Nearly all states provide precinct-level general election results. Most of these states provide precinct-level general election results for all contests from a particular election day, but some provide this data broken down by contest or county. A few states provide precinct-level data in PDF format only.

Roughly two-thirds of all states provide statewide precinct boundaries, though some provide this data county by county. Many of these same states provide the counties’ precinct maps in PDF format only.

For states that do not provide this data, precinct-level general election results or precinct boundaries must be collected from the counties directly. When election results or precinct maps are provided in PDF format, they must first be transcribed or digitized, respectively, to be used in any analysis.
