National 2024 General Election Active & Inactive Registered Voters by County (L2 Voter File) ## RDH Pull Date 11/20/2025 ## Sources The Redistricting Data Hub purchased these voter files from L2, a national voter file vendor: https://l2-data.com/ For each state, the RDH uses the earliest available dataset snapshot issued after the 2024 general election. As a result, the snapshot dates differ by state. The specific dates are: AK: 2024-12-24 AL: 2025-01-18 AR: 2025-02-06 AZ: 2024-12-27 CA: 2025-01-06 CO: 2025-01-15 CT: 2025-03-14 DC: 2025-01-29 DE: 2024-12-17 FL: 2025-02-11 GA: 2024-12-24 HI: 2025-01-29 IA: 2025-02-03 ID: 2025-03-26 IL: 2025-02-27 IN: 2025-04-07 KS: 2025-04-02 KY: 2025-04-22 LA: 2024-12-16 MA: 2025-02-26 MD: 2025-01-21 ME: 2025-03-05 MI: 2025-01-24 MN: 2025-03-04 MO: 2025-02-12 MS: 2025-01-24 MT: 2025-02-13 NC: 2024-12-31 ND: 2025-02-28 NE: 2024-12-17 NH: 2025-04-21 NJ: 2025-01-18 NM: 2025-04-09 NV: 2025-01-10 NY: 2025-03-26 OH: 2025-01-29 OK: 2025-01-15 OR: 2025-01-23 PA: 2025-02-27 RI: 2025-01-06 SC: 2025-02-26 SD: 2025-01-19 TN: 2025-02-25 TX: 2025-02-14 UT: 2025-02-11 VA: 2025-02-13 VT: 2025-01-28 WA: 2025-02-04 WI: 2025-02-14 WV: 2025-01-28 WY: 2025-03-06 These data were aggregated from L2's statewide voter files for all available states. Active and inactive registration statuses come directly from L2's classifications. ## Fields state Two-letter state abbreviation (e.g., AL, CA, TX) county County name as provided by L2 countyfp 3-digit FIPS code total_reg_count Total registered voters in the county (active + inactive) active_reg_count Number of registered voters labeled "Active" by L2 inactive_reg_count Number of registered voters labeled "Inactive" by L2 active_reg_percentage Active registered voters divided by total_reg_count inactive_reg_percentage Inactive registered voters divided by total_reg_count ## Processing L2 assigns each registered voter an "Active" or "Inactive" registration status based on the rules and reporting standards of each state. L2 reflects each state's official designation but standardizes these statuses nationally for consistency across datasets. The RDH aggregated individual-level voter records to the county level using the 5-digit county FIPS code (two-digit state + three-digit county). Active/inactive counts and percentages were calculated directly as: total_reg_count = active_count + inactive_count active_reg_percentage = active_count / total_reg_count inactive_reg_percentage = inactive_count / total_reg_count Counts and percentages represent registration status **at the time of L2's latest snapshot** for each state. Processing was completed using Python and pandas. The RDH cannot certify the accuracy of any information contained within this file. ## Additional Notes - Percentages are rounded to four decimal places. - County names reflect L2's assignment and may not correspond exactly to Census geography names.
