Data is included for all 50 states and Washington, DC. 

VEST provides two 2020 precinct-level election result files for both New Jersey and Kentucky. In these two states, the "nj_2020_vtd_estimates" and "ky_2020_vtd_estimates" files were used, due to their additional granularity of results. A unique ID field was created and added to every precinct. In general, state files contained a precinct ID or precinct number that was unique, especially when combined with county information. When multiple columns that could uniquely identify the precinct were available, the column that provided the better textual description was used. In the rare cases in which two precincts had identical name and / or number information within a county, a counter variable was appended based off the relative ordering of the precincts within the files to make the IDs unique. The precincts where this additional processing was needed all contained zero total votes.
