Please note that this file has multiple years of election results on a single town shapefile. The RDH has not confirmed whether the towns on this file represent the geographies that were used for every year of election results on this file.

## Sources
The Vermont town shapefile was downloaded from the Vermont Open Geodata Portal. Election data were downloaded from the Secretary of State’s website. Demographic information from the 2010 Decennial Census was downloaded at the sub-county level from American FactFinder.

## Processing Steps
Demographic and election data were joined to the shapefile using QGIS. Vermont does not release election results for towns with a total population under 50, thus 9 towns have been excluded from this module.
